Embedding Video on Wikis or EduBlogs:



Here are the How Tos to get you started (once your video is created)



Uploading Video to TeacherTube:

  1. If you do not have an account on TeacherTube you will need to sign up for one.
  2. Once you have your account log in and click on the “Upload” Button.
  3. Fill in the requested info: Title of the Video, a brief description, tags (tags are key words that people will search with).
  4. Select 1-3 “channels” that fit your video post. Once again this helps people in searching.
  5. Click Continue
  6. Click on the Browse Button and locate your movie file.
  7. Choose if you want the video to be public or private and click “Upload Video.”
  8. That’s it! Once the video is loaded TeacherTube will provide you with a url address to send to people so you can share your video.

How to Embed Video:


Find the embed code:
  1. Go to the TeacherTube video you want to embed.
  2. Scroll down the page until you see the code labeled”Embeddable”
  3. Highlight that code and press “Ctrl C”
  4. Paste the code into the widget using the steps above.
CAUTION: When embedding videos from YouTube, etc. After the video is played it suggests other videos to watch which may or may not be appropriate for students.

How to embed Video on WikiSpaces:
  1. Open the page to edit mode.
  2. Click on the TV icon – “Embed Widget”
  3. Choose the “Video” option and click on the video source. Embedding video allows it to be played from the wiki, but it is not loaded on the wiki, saving you file space.
  4. paste the Embed code for the video in the space provided.

Embedding on Edublogs:
  1. On TeacherTube scroll down to find the code for Edublogs.
  2. Highlight and copy the code.
  3. Begin a Blog Entry on the “Write” tab
  4. In the “post” section - click on the code tab
  5. Paste the code on the page.
  6. Return to the visual tab to continue adding your information.
